HUAWEI MATEBOOK D15 REVIEW

Hello Pinchers!

We need laptops for different reasons. But selecting one is hard. Because you have to make sure about your bugdet and service which you will get from the laptop. Adjusting is hard but here I am to help. Today I will review Huawei Maebook D15 laptop. Personally I have a huge crush on it. So let's discuss about it. And also I will talk about some issues that you are concerned about before buying Huawei laptops & phones.

Huawei Matebook D15

This is an ultrabook PC with a processor AMD Ryzen 5 3500U, 8 Gigabytes of RAM ddr4 and a 256 gigabyte SSD from  Samsung. It has a power button with a fingerprint sensor, a recessed camera which ensures privacy. It is quite slim 1.6 centimeter and really light - 1.5 Kilograms. It is slightly larger than an A4 paper size. It has an HDMI connector, a USB 3 on one side.

On the other side two more USBs and an audio jack. The charger is really small, similar to a phone charger, slightly bigger and heavier, but really small and it charges through a USB C port. The charging is quite fast, in about an hour approximately. In 30 minutes it goes from zero to 50%.And if you want a classic desktop setup with USB keyboard and mouse, it's very easy to do that. You can see here the peripherals connected plus the charger and the HDMI cable and remember that you still have the Bluetooth available. It also comes with its own software called PC manager which allows you to do a hardware check, a driver management with automatic driver updates.

The device runs Windows 10 Home Edition. It also comes with PC Manager app from Huawei. This app lets you know the status of the laptop, problems the device face and fixes. The app also lets you connect your phone to the computer using the Huawei Share app. You can share from and to your phone with one tap using the OneHub technology. You can also project the screen of your phone to your computer. You can control both devices at the same time. We tried PUBG game using this method, and it worked without any problems. But the best thing to do it so control the game from your phone and broadcast it on the computer. It would be cool. Just like I said before, the device comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button. The responsiveness of the fingerprint sensor is good. It supports quick launching, where you can open and unlock the device with a single press.

You can also check the user manual, common issues and the warranty of the computer. What I like the most is that is very quiet. You don't hear any hard-disk there is no LED blinking. Overall is very very quiet. It is not getting hot unless you try to play 3D games. The monitor is really good. I wish it was brighter.I always keep it through almost maximum brightness.

And one thing about the sound I must say. Although he sound is quite good, because the speaker is underneath. The sound volume and tumble varies with the surface of the laptop seats on which might prove annoying for some. Overall it's a great mid-range notebook great for office work multimedia and video editing. It is very portable, quiet and cool. I recommend you this one.

Now, about the issue.

I have been doing some laptop shopping and there's this awesome brand known as Huawei Matebook that I've been looking about but I'm really concerned whether you should buy Huawei and if you don't know it's because of all of the noise over what's going on with Huawei. I am not an expert in this but let me explain this.

The US government essentially banned US businesses from any transactions with Huawei and that it's really important to note. I know you're shopping for a new laptop. It's not about their laptops, it's not about their phones, it's about their network infrastructure. That is going to be important when building 5G. The laptops and phones are not automatically recording everything and spying on me. That's not really what the allegations are at this point. Phones, laptops that's not what this is all about. This is about the 'Alleged', the huge word here is alleged security risk that Huawei is putting back doors in its 5G infrastructure that can be used to spy on people. So that's what's going on and as a result US businesses can't show any sort of transaction with them and that think Google, Facebook but also think Intel, think Qualcomm huge it's really affecting the Huawei supply chain but what's also important Here is that while we were getting graduated 90-day reprieve by the US Department of Commerce, that's gonna go into about August. So they have a few more months for Huawei to sort itself out and the US government to sort itself out and at the end of the day this ban may never happen.

So let's focus more about your laptop what are you concerned about here. Well, I think the main concern which I think we do have some clarification for a Microsoft is I'm not gonna get security updates. If I can't get security updates in Windows 10 because always been put into a little pen by the US government on Huawei laptops, Huawei phones and I can't get those security updates.

But everything is almost at the end. So relax. Everything will be all ok and you will comfortably use this laptop for your personal use and official works. In mid range category I highly suggest this awesome laptop. Maybe you have huge crash on MacBook but once you get used with this you will never turn back on this Matebook made by Huawei.
