Bangladesh App Market Is Now Worth Thousands Of Crores

Hello pinchers, Tech news time.

When you turn on the smartphone, many types of apps appear on the screen. Mostly foreign. If you look closely, you can see that there are also local apps. Maybe you have a financial services app on your mobile with which you transact. Maybe the bank also has an app. There is also an app from the mobile operator whose SIM or connection you are using. Recharging with it, buying internet, sending bundles of gifts to loved ones. There is also an app for taking ride services. All these are native apps. It can be said that the domestic apps market has grown big enough without your knowledge. Those concerned say that the size of this market is now at least a thousand crore rupees.

Excluding exports, the country's app market is booming. There is a demand for government apps. Seeing the success of this sector, the government has also thought far-reaching. Initiatives have been taken to create developers with proper training on mobile apps and games. In the meantime, more than 16 thousand trainees have been trained. It is learned that new programs are being taken up in the future. Through the app, mobile banking, e-commerce, online delivery system, media, entertainment, healthcare, education, online ticketing, travel, ride sharing, drug supply, etc. have gained a lot of popularity in the country.

Asked about this, State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak said, "The market for local apps is very wide now. Consumers of technology of this time are eager to get almost 100% of any service through their smartphone. We have seen that the use of apps in mobile banking, e-commerce, entertainment, online ticketing, etc. has increased many times. We have also brought government services in the mobile app. But the developers of our country are creating applications of international standard. Its market has grown so much that the concept of mobile app is no longer limited to just creating informative or transaction level apps. With the addition of value added services (VAS) of mobile games and telecom companies, it has become a multi-billion rupee market in the domestic market.

The state minister added, "Internationally, the game market is worth 152 billion. To enter that market, we have trained 18,000 students on game development. Another 10,000 people will be trained. App-based entrepreneurships are also gaining popularity in the country. Asked about government initiatives, he said, "We are funding these innovative business ideas under the Innovation Fund, Startup Fund, Idea Project." At the same time, we are providing necessary funds through consultation and monitoring on behalf of the government to create app-based solutions to facilitate the services and automation of various government organizations.

Now any organization, especially if it is service-based, just like having a website, having an app has become a lot of rules. Banks, telecom operators are providing services through the app. Mobile is going to be recharged from the app, another is going to be recharged or even a gift is being given. Expenses are also going to be kept. Some banks are making arrangements to open accounts by downloading apps at home.
