The minister of Vijayanagara dynasty, Amaathya mallana in 1461 constructed a Garudalwar Temple in front of Srivari's golden driveway and this temple, they enshrined a 6 feet tall Garuda statue bowing down to Lord Vishnu with his handa joined to the left of doorway. There are two very heavy bells that might be the reason for people naming it Ganta Mandapam. There is a surprising history for this Ganta Mandapam. In 17 th century during Vijayanagara Dynasty, the Chandragiri fort near tirupati was ruled by King Ramadevaraya. Since he ascended the throne, everyone started leading a prosperous life.

His kingdom flourished with herds of cattle and dairy crops. He believes that Lord Venkateswara's blessings are the only reason behind the well being of his kingdom. He will not eat until Srivari Naivedhyam ritual is completed. The bells that are present in Ganta Mandapam were rang during the Naivedhyam ritual. The sound waves of those bells reached the Nalugukalla Mandapam at the end of Tirumala and the those waves when touched the biggest Gantamore present in that Mandapam, produced a heavy sound by itself without anyone ringing it!

Those sound waves again touch the Jaya Ganta of Chandragiri and make it produce a sound too by ringing. That sound was an indication to King Ramadevaraya that the Naivedyam Ritual to Srivaru has been finished and he then starts having his meal. This prestigious Gantamore was gifted by the Venkatagiri and thanjavur Kings Raghunadha, Yachama nayak to King Ramadevaraya. Now even after the Gantamore is not there, the Gantamandapam is still the same without any crack. In 1975, they constructed a board for radio signals. They covered it with aluminium reflector sheet. The people who see that from Tirupati mistake it to be an advertisement board. But they don't know that it is installed for the sake of radio signals. Also if we have a look from the end of Tirumala, we will see a beautiful scenery of Chandragiri Fort and Swarnamukhi River.

The atmosphere over there is also fresh and pleasant. The Gantamandapam, which has an unprecedented history, is littered with trees and ants as no one is taking proper care If  TTD tries to remove all those creepers and strive to bring back the former glory, the Gantamandapam can also serve the present generation as an indication about the lunch time. At the same time, it can also become a tourist spot. The great King like Ramadevaraya also had to face so many difficulties. At his 12th year, his father King Sriranga-2 along with his family were murdered. Who murdered them and why did they murdered them so cruelly? How did the only one person who escaped from being murdered take the revenge? It's all mystery!
